A place that takes ideas seriously

We debate in the British Parliamentary format — four teams, fifteen minutes' prep, and a motion that could be anything from foreign policy to free will. Some of us came in having never spoken in public; most of us still get nervous before a final.

What holds it together is the company: people who'd rather change their mind than win cheaply, and who'll happily pick your argument apart over a pint afterwards.
